Kapal penyelidikan milik UPM ini (sekarang tidak lagi) adalah kapal penyelidikan yang digunakan oleh pelajar-pelajar UPM terutamanya yang mengikuti pengajian Diploma Perikanan, Bacelor Sains Perikanan dan Bacelor Sains (Sains Samudera). Aku berpeluang menaiki kapal penyelidikan ini semasa aku di UPM Terengganu dulu. Pengalaman yang aku terima semasa berada di atas kapal ini tidak mungkin aku lupakan terutamanya semasa aku dan rakan-rakan sekampus menjalankan penyelidikan di Laut China Selatan bermula di Pusat Bekalan Kemaman dan berakhir di jeti Perikanan Chendering, Kuala Terengganu. Penyelidikan ini dijalankan pada tahun 1995 ketika aku mengambil subjek Kaedah dan Instrumentasi Samudera.
